Latest News May 2009
Building works have progressed through April with the completion of internal excavations to allow preparatory works for the pouring of floor slabs. Infrastructure services have been roughed in and roofing works are nearing completion. By the end of May the external retaining wall will be formed and poured as will all internal concrete floors. Photographs indicate the labour intensive preparation that is required prior to pouring of floor slabs i.e allowance for services and reinforcement. This project is also assisting the Services Infrastructure Project (Stage 1) with the laying of a section of the fire ring main along the retaining wall and between the Grainger Building and Conservatorium of Music. click gallery below
